Creator. Mother. Artist.

Sheryee Hayles known professionally as Reese is an American artist who focuses on creating pieces of artwork that symbolize black love, black excellence, and black unity. From a young age, art has always been a way for Reese to express herself. She started off as a poet and later became a ballet dancer for 2 years. In school, she fell in love with drawing and later became introduced to painting. After high school, Reese decided to become a cosmetologist and stated her favorite part about doing hair was coloring. However after a deep reflection, painting have became Reese's favorite form of art and she decided to further her education and continue to pursue her passion. Since 2014 she specializes in acrylic, as well as mixed media (such as added accessories ) to give her work more of a "3D effect". Reese is often inspired by black beauty all over the world and loves to transform that inspiration onto a canvas. In 2020, now being a mother to a beautiful daughter, Reese is even more inspired to create work that shines a light on African-Americans in a positive manner to show how strong, beautiful, and magical they are.
